Dinners are served from 12 Noon to 6:30 PM.

Your dinner includes choice of homemade spaghetti or gnocchi, 2 meatballs, dinner salad and roll.

PA Atty General’s Office Sues Electronic Cigarette Manufacturer Juul Labs Inc.

The Pennsylvania attorney general’s office sued electronic cigarette manufacturer Juul Labs Inc. on Monday over how its products are marketed and sold to teenagers. Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, said in a statement that Juul “knowingly targeted young people with tactics similar to the tobacco companies’ playbook. There is no proof these e-cigarettes are safe and until there is, we need to get Juul products off shelves and out of the hands of young people.” There have been 61 confirmed and 59 probable cases of vaping products associated lung injury in Pennsylvania.

Beaver County Humane Society Officials Call for Vaccinations Against Deadly Parvovirus

The Beaver County Humane Society is calling for dog owners in the county to have their dogs and puppies vaccinated against parvovirus…as the shelter received a second stray puppy who tested positive in recent months. Beaver County Radio newsman Pat Septak spoke with the Humane Society’s Susan Salyards. She says they’re concerned because the Parvovirus can be deadly…

This month’s guest, Pastor Larry Bettencourt of Champion Life Church in Chippewa, joined Dr. Pete Birchler from the CHC and AM Beaver County host Matt Drzik (after a slight delay) to talk about his brand of faith and worship. Pastor Larry spoke about how he feels worshipers need to “come as they are”, the idea of being “fake” when it comes to presenting yourself before the Lord, and the logistics of making Champion Life a permanent facility.

Aliquippa Woman Pleads Guilty in Federal Court to Drug Charges

An Aliquippa woman has pleaded guilty in federal court in Pittsburgh to drug charges. 30 year old Carlisha Williams pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl. Authorities allege Williams provided other suspects an address to receive packages of fentanyl shipped from overseas. Sentencing is set for May. Williams faces up to 40 years in prison a five million dollar fine or both.

Jury to Return Today in Cookout Slayings of 5, Unborn Baby

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Jurors return Tuesday to resume deliberations in the trial of the remaining defendant in the slayings of five people and an unborn baby at a Wilkinsburg cookout almost four years ago. Closing arguments were delivered Monday in the Allegheny County trial of 33-year-old Cheron Shelton, who is charged with first- and third-degree murder in the March 2016 slayings in Pittsburgh’s Wilkinsburg suburb. Charges were dismissed earlier against Shelton’s co-defendant, 31-year-old Robert Thomas. Prosecutors have said they will seek capital punishment in the event of a first-degree murder conviction. Defense attorneys have cited a lack of physical evidence.

Crews Respond to Ambridge House Fire

Crews responded to a house fire in Ambridge early this morning. Quick work by firefighters prevented serious damage to the home on Maplewood Avenue. The fire started in the basement of the home next to the furnace. After putting out the fire, which consisted more of smoke than flames, firefighters aired out the home with fans. Two people who were inside the home at the time were able to get out safely without injury.

21 Local Basketball Teams Learn Their Fate For WPIAL Playoffs Tonight

Some say it’s more maddening than March.

The 2020 WPIAL Basketball Playoffs begin this week, and 21 local teams–11 boys’ teams and 10 girls’–will find out where they land in the 12 different brackets decided upon by the WPIAL selection committee. Coverage of the pairings meeting begins at 7:00 tonight on Beaver County Radio.

4 People Taken to the Hospital After Fire in Rochester

A fire in Rochester left four people injured last night. The fire broke out a little before 9 p.m. inside a home in the 500 block of Jefferson Street. Three people were taken to the hospital with burns and one was taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. In total, seven people were displaced by the fire. The Red Cross is assisting the people who were affected. The Rochester Fire Department is looking into the cause of the blaze.
