Carlynton 4th Quarter rally stuns Freedom

It was a good one to start the day off, as Carlynton defeats Freedom 42-37. The game was close one, at the half the game was tied at 25 and it was anybodies game. But, despite that Freedom jumped to 8 point lead at the end of the third. But, it was not enough to keep Carlynton down as they outscored Freedom 15-2 in the fourth quarter to win the game. Freedom did not score a field goal in the fourth quarter and only made two foul shots. Despite the lost Freedom still has a chance to make the state playoffs. If Carlynton beats the winner out of Mohawk and East Allegheny, then Freedom can make state playoffs.

Today’s ‘Business Minute’ Report Sponsored by Minuteman Press

AND NOW IT’S TIME FOR THE ‘BUSINESS MINUTE’ REPORT…BROUGHT TO YOU BY MINUTEMAN PRESS:

Midland borough’s financial situation was addressed at a meeting earlier this week. Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano was there…

New businesses, restaurants and housing developments are slated for one local community. More than three dozen businesses are coming soon to Cranberry Township, including Bartram House Bakery and Cranberry Sub & Deli. Officials said this plan has been in the works for years. Township officials say it was initially dubbed the “Disneyland Plan” because no one thought it could be done.

…and U.S. stocks fell in early trading Friday as cases of the new virus swelled in South Korea and more companies warned investors about a hit to their finances. Anxiety over the outbreak has knocked stocks back from record highs and indexes are on track for their first weekly loss after two weeks of gains. Technology companies led the losses. Companies that rely on consumer spending, particularly those related to travel and tourism, also fell broadly. Investors headed for safer territory. Real estate companies and utilities held up better than most of the market. Bond prices rose and pushed yields lower. Gold prices rose.
