Delaware County Republican Dave White Announces Campaign for Governor

(Ridley Township, Pa.) On Saturday another candidate threw their hat in the ring to run for Pennsylvania Governor Surrounded by hundreds of family, friends, and supporters in Ridley Township, blue collar businessman and former Delaware County Councilman Republican Dave White announced his campaign for Governor of Pennsylvania.
He said in a release that
“Today, we make history. Today is the day we launch our campaign, TOGETHER, to put this Commonwealth back on the right track… the day when the working men and women, parents, seniors, veterans, teachers, doctors, farmers…. the blue-collar workers and the white collar workers, this is the day we all stand up and demand results.”

Aliquippa Woman Wanted in Allegheny County Arrested, Faces Additional Drug Charges After Lying to Troopers

(West Aliquippa, Pa.) Pa State Police in Beaver are reporting that they arrested 44-year-old Tracy Heineman from Aliquippa who was wanted in Allegheny County. The arrest happened on Bocktown Road in Greene Twp. on November 5, 2021 at 3:31 AM according to a release.
Troopers are reporting that when Heineman was taken into custody she was briefly searched before being transported to the Beaver County Jail. Troopers reported that she was asked if she had any contraband on her person and she told them no. After custody was given to Beaver County Corrections a Corrections Officer then conducted a thorough search of Heinman and found that she did have drug and drug paraphernalia on her person. She is know facing addition drug charges that were filed by Pa. State Police at the local magistrate’s office

Mars Female Goalie Returns to Ice and Armstrong Fans Barred From Games

A female high school hockey goalie for the Mars planets is returning to the ice today for her first school game since she was the target of vulgar and abusive chants from spectators. The chants from students at Armstrong High School targeted the female goalie at an Oct. 28 game near Kittanning. The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League on Thursday barred Armstrong students from attending their school’s hockey games and placed the team on probation. Team USA Women’s Hockey Olympian Meghan Duggan has even weighed in with support for the young player.

Steelers Legend Charged After DUI Crash on Mount Washington

(Pittsburgh, Pa.) Retired Pittsburgh Steelers great Louis Lipps Jr. was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a crash Saturday night on Mount Washington.
Officers were dispatched to the 30 block of Ruth Street for an accident report just before 11 p.m. on Saturday night. The responding officer found Lipps behind the wheel of a 2012 Ram pickup truck. His wife was in the front passenger seat of the truck that had crashed into a trailer
Lipps didn’t know he had hit the trailer when the officer informed him of what allegedly happened. The officer asked him to step out of the truck and performed a field sobriety test. Lipps allegedly “almost fell/stumbled to the ground to the point officers had to catch him from falling over.”
When asked how much he had to drink, the complaint said Lipps responded “A lot.” He was taken to a police station and given a breathalizer that yielded a blood alcohol content of .235%.

He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail and was charged with two counts of driving under the influence.

Robinson Township Police Officer Dies

(Robinson Twp., Pa.) Robinson Township police have announced the death of Sgt. Scott Patton who has served as a police officer in Robinson Township for the past 11 years.
Prior to becoming a police officer, Sgt. Patton had served the same residents as a paramedic with Robinson Emergency Medical Services.
There is no word on how Patton died.

New Brighton Man Charged with Attempted Homicide in Beaver Falls Shooting

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) A new Brighton man has been is facing multiple charges including attempted homicide after an incident that took place in Beaver Falls just after midnight Sunday morning, November 7, 2021.

The City of Beaver Falls Police Chief, David Johnson, reported via release that at 12:06 this morning Officers from the Beaver Falls Police Department were approached by a male victim who had been shot. Chief Johnson reported that the victim was transported by medical helicopter to an area hospital for his injuries.

After investigating, Officers arrested 30-year-old Raheem Beal, who is known to be from Detroit, Michigan, but currently lists a New Brighton address. He is being charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, fire arms not to be carried without a license, persons not to possess fire arms and recklessly endangering another person.

There is no word on what led to the shooting or exactly where the shooting occurred. Chief Johnson reported in the release that no further information was available for release at this time.

26-Year-Old New Brighton Man Drowns While Kayaking In South Carolina

(Oconee County, South Carolina) A 26-year-old New Brighton, Pa. man drowned after the kayak he was in overturned while attending a wedding in Oconee County, South Carolina.
The Oconee County Coroner’s office identified the drowning victim as Kellen Jerome Mackey.  Mackey was in attendance at a wedding party at a residence when he reportedly had got onto Lake Hartwell in a kayak. The kayak overturned and Mackey was not seen again.  It was reported that he was not wearing a personal flotation device and he could not swim. Mackey’s body was recovered Saturday, November 6, 2021 by Emergency Personnel.
