Dr. Todd Allen Talks Civil Rights, Faith, Education, Politics & COVID-19 On AMBC

“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme.”

That quote, while disputed in origin of claim (most say it’s Mark Twain), was the focal point of the conversation between Dr. Todd Allen, communication professor and special assistant to the president at Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, and Matt Drzik, host of A.M. Beaver County on March 24.

The two Geneva College graduates and Beaver Falls alumni spoke about how the current coronavirus pandemic is having an effect on college education, the role of race in the 2020 election, Dr. Allen’s continued teaching of values and history regarding civil rights, and the role of faith in everyday life.
