Playoff spots, playoff positioning, and bragging rights are on the line as teams from across the Beaver Valley enter the gridiron for their next-to-last games of the regular season.

A major matchup in deciding the Parkway Conference title in Class 4A takes place Friday night as West Allegheny (7-1) travels to Central Valley (8-0). The Warriors have won 35 in a row; their latest a 49-7 road win against Ambridge in Week 7. The Indians are coming in off a 16-13 double-overtime win over Blackhawk, and will need a win to have a shot at the section title. Rob Matzie and John Perrotto have the call from Sarge Alberts Stadium on WBVP, 99.3 FM, Facebook Live and Trib Live beginning with pre-game coverage at 6:30 and kickoff at 7:00.

Down in the Western Hills Conference of Class 3A, Beaver (5-3) will travel to Quaker Valley (1-6) on 95.7 FM, 1460 WMBA and Trib Live. The Bobcats are 2-2 in the conference following a dominant 59-13 win over Seton LaSalle in Week 7. The Quakers, however, are only one game back of Beaver at 1-3; they look to bounce back following a 42-0 road loss to West Mifflin. Mike Azadian and Bruce Frey have the call from Chuck Knox Stadium, beginning with pregame at 6:30 and kickoff at 7:00.

On Saturday, Western Beaver (7-1) will host Mohawk (3-3) in a Class 2A Midwestern Conference showdown. The Golden Beavers are looking to stay in the race for a section title, entering Saturday’s match with a conference record of 4-1 following a 60-13 win over New Brighton in their last match. The Warriors are one game back of Western Beaver at 3-2 and look to build off their 42-13 win over Freedom last week. Mike Azadian and John Perrotto have the call from Rich Niedbala Field, beginning right at kickoff at 12:30 following “The Entrepreneur Life” on Beaver County Radio.
