The Aliquippa Blight and Property Management Committee met last night for an orientation with City Administrator Sam Gill, Code Enforcemnt and Zoning Officer M9ike Demcak Aleesha Hunt Williams , coordinator , and Fire Chief Dave Foringer last night. According to Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giodano, the committee, made up of citizens were given an overview of what to look for to help eradicate blight in the city. There are currently 800 vacant blighted properties in the city and a zone will be assigned to each volunteer. Demcak and police Captain Ryan Pudik worked for over a year to identify the areas where there is blight ,and properties left unattended due to death, or where an absentee landlord has neglected the property.
