(New Brighton, PA) The New Brighton Area School Board met Monday night for a committee meeting where they discussed a few agenda items that will be voted on at their next meeting later in the month. The board is looking to exercise a contract extension with Nutrition, Inc. to provide food services to the district for the 2022-2023 school year. Superintendent Dr. Joseph Guarino stated that they have been very happy with the services provided and have not had any severe issues with food shortages during a time when other school districts have. Also on the agenda was the retirement of Courier Mark Vogler, and the resignation of instructional assistant Patricia Rojo. In addition, the board looks to ratify the hiring of Kirsten Frazzini as a special education teacher, as well as an assistant softball coach to replace Leah Jackson.
