The holiday season is a time for giving, and–in the case of The Cornerstone of Beaver County–a time to help those in Beaver County who are struggling with resources and shelter.

TCBC executive director Marie Timpano and outreach coordinator Eric Caplinger joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County to talk about an upcoming event that is part of that holiday mission; that being the Winter Gear Distribution on December 18 at their headquarters located at 600 6th Street in Beaver Falls. The event will run from 10:00 AM until Noon, and donations will be accepted.

The Winter Gear Distribution is just one event over the next several months that will help out Beaver County citizens in need, and another step towards that–as Timpano mentioned–is the men’s shelter to be completed in Vanport after a multi-year absence of any such facility in Beaver County. TCBC will also be a warming center for the upcoming winter season in Beaver County, and more information about events and ways to help can be found at their website or by visiting their Facebook page.
