Impaired Driving Enforcement begins this weekend

Detective Greg Durkos , the county’s impaired Driving Task Force coordinator announced Friday morning that the sobriety checkpoints, and /or roving patrols  and mobile checkpoints will be conducted beginning this weekend and throughout the labor Day Holiday  in support of the state’s Impaired Driving Initiative.

Checkpoints and /or the roving patrols  will be conducted to keep roads safe, save lives, and reduce DUI crashes.
Drivers are encouraged to drink responsibly and assign designated drivers when necessary to get home safely.
In any crash, your seat belt is your best defense, Detective Durkos said.  Nineteen police  departments are part of the task force  here in the county.
