Man Injured In Two Vehicle Crash In Shenango Twp.

(Shenango Township, PA) –Pennsylvania State Police have reported via release that on June 19th, 2021 at 6:31 p.m. PSP New Castle was dispatched to a two vehicle crash. When they arrived, is was discovered that a 2011 Toyota Avalon, operated by 60 year old male, Dale Ross of Pittsburgh, was West on Rt. 422 at the red light, when he was struck very hard from behind. Joseph Severino, a 75 year old man from New Castle, was also West bound in his 2019 Buick Envision, but did not slow for the traffic stop at the light, which lead him to smashing into Mr. Ross. Mr. Ross was taken to UPMC Jameson by McGonigle EMS for complaints of a neck injury; Mr. Severino was cited for driving too closely.
