(Perry Twp., Pa.) Pa State Police have issued an update on the story we first told you about yesterday involving a person being shot in an SUV on the Mercer Road in Perry Twp. early Tuesday morning.

State Police are now hoping to hear from anyone who may have witnessed what they are now saying was an attempted murder.

Troopers are saying they 18-year-old Nya Greene II of New Brighton was wounded when the SUV he was in was shot several times near Cutoff Street. Troopers are also reporting that a second vehicle was also shot and none of the occupants were injured.

Troopers said via release that Greene was flown to UPMC Presbyterian and is listed in critical condition.
