Tax bills will be sent to Ellwood City Area School District residents later than usual…and therefore, the district will begin receiving tax revenue later as well. That’s all because of the delay in passing a budget in the district. An increase in taxes by the district isn’t likely. The reasons why the sending out of tax bills is delayed is because the Ellwood City Area School Board has not passed its budget for the 2016-2017 school year. The board is scheduled to adopt a final budget in a special meeting on June 27th.
