The new Koppel Bridge officially opens for motorists this afternoon. The route has been closed for nearly three months while crews completed the demolition of the old bridge and connected Route 351 over the Beaver River to the new bridge. PennDOT will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the Koppel borough side of the bridge at 1:00 this afternoon. Beaver County Radio’s Matt Drzik will be there and will have a complete report later on.
