Senate committee officials are advancing a measure to require drivers to remove ice and snow from their vehicles. The full senate is next for the proposal that would give drivers 24 hours after the storm to get their vehicles clean. This version would fine drivers 75-dollars if police believe the ice or snow on the vehicle poses a threat to other drivers while the current version only targets those who have it fall from their vehicle and strike someone else.
