Ellwood City Man Convicted On Drug Charges

An Ellwood City man was convicted on drug charges in Federal Court in Pittsburgh yesterday. After two hours of deliberation the jury found 33 year old Taureen Potter guilty of one count of Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and one count of Distribution of Cocaine. U.S .Attorney Scott Brady said Potter sold cocaine out of Ellwood City bars in 2017 and 2018, and he sold cocaine to other cocaine dealers who would further distribute the cocaine. Sentencing is set for October 31st and Potter could receive 60 years in jail. The Lawrence County Drug Task Force was involved in the investigation.
