A Shenango Township man accused of stabbing his mother more than 300 times has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder with mental illness. 29 year old Dean Craven pleaded guilty before Lawrence County Common Pleas Court Judge J.Craig Cox. According to police, Craven stabbed Lauri Craven to death back in January of 2017. Sentencing has been set for July 10^th. Lawrence County District Attorney Joshua Lamancusa is prosecuting the case for the county.
