The sirens sounded this morning to test Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station’s emergency alert system. All 118 sirens sounded for three minutes after nine this morning to test their volume and to determine if more or fewer sirens are needed. The power station’s operators had observers in the field monitoring the alarms.
