A Beaver doctor is accused of writing thousands of illegal opiate prescriptions. Doctor Paul Hoover is a pain specialist who has been practicing in Beaver and Coraopolis for nearly 30 years. Hoover’s accused of writing scripts for more than 80-thousand pills over a three-year-period. Police say Hoover has been living in California for years and would fly back once a month to open on a Saturday and write pain prescriptions for cash.
