(Pittsburgh, PA) The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Saturday that the team placed wide receiver Michael Pittman, Jr. on the injured reserve.
According to Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy on Thursday, Pittman had aggravated a foot injury in practice Wednesday and was expected to miss multiple weeks.
Pittman had been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot, which caused him to miss the Steelers’ Week 2 game against the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
NFL players that are on the injured reserve miss at least four weeks.
