(Pittsburgh, PA) Employees of Duquesne Light Company continued their strike against the organization amid contract negotiations with their employer.
Members of IBEW Local 29 held a rally outside the company’s Woods Run facility in the Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood yesterday as their strike entered its seventh day in a row.
The union noted in a statement released on Tuesday that it has reached a tentative understanding on several key issues, which included subcontracting and the use of technology.
However, some issues are still unresolved, such as healthcare, retirement benefits, safety concerns and wage increases.
These workers serve customers in Beaver and Allegheny counties.
