(Beaver County, PA) The American Association of University Women (AAUW), Beaver Valley Branch, will host its 25th Annual Kitchen Tour and Tasting on Saturday, October 3rd from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and it features four homes in Beaver and Brighton Township that attendees can tour.
Guests can enjoy tasting foods that are prepared by local chefs at each site.
The event will be kicked off at the Market Place located in the IBEW, Local Union 712 Hall at 217 Sassafrass Lane in Vanport Township where guests will present their tickets and receive a tour book which includes the locations of the homes and the details about the chefs.
The Market Place offers a lot of activities from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., which includes door prizes, a complimentary recipe booklet, chances on baskets for auction and homemade baked goods that are prepared by AAUW members.
Attendees can look at bargains on gently used accessories, jewelry and purses, shop 11 specialty vendor boutiques that offer baskets, biscotti, candles, fine wines, jewelry, macarons, note cards, perfume, soaps, wreaths, as well as Hummingbird Booktique and some coming attractions at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center.
There will be special raffles on a gas grill and an estate planning package which is provided by attorney Michael Nalli.
A book signing will also occur with local author Fran Tunno, who features her book “Mary, Come on Down,” which is about her mother’s story of appearing on “The Price is Right.”
The Beans and Batter, LLV food truck will be on-site from 9 a.m. to noon offering coffee, tea and pastries.
Advance kitchen tour tickets are worth $20 at Blackbird Market or the Shirley Shoppe in Beaver. Same day tickets are worth $25 at the Market Place at IBEW.
