(Pittsburgh, PA) The 2026 Pittsburgh Pirates have broken the franchise record for the most home runs that a Pirates team has ever hit. 

The Pirates lost to the Brewers 5-4 yesterday at PNC Park, but Oneil Cruz, Brandon Lowe and Rafael Flores, Jr. all hit home runs in the game. 

The home run by Cruz in the fourth inning put the total home runs for the 2026 Pirates at 172, which broke the franchise record for home runs that was previously 171 and was set by the 1999 Pirates. 

Lowe and Flores’ home runs in that game brought the total to 174 home runs for the 2026 Pirates for the season so far with ten games left to go in their 2026 season.
