(Baden, PA) A male railroad worker was flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh after he fell off a train in Baden on Tuesday.
He was hit by the train.
According to a report from the Beaver Valley Regional Police Department, the incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. on the railroad tracks near the Pinney Street Bridge near Route 65.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed that the man was a conductor who fell off of a rear tank car as the train that he was on was traveling to the Conway Rail Yards.
Reports indicated that the man suffered severe leg injuries.
The investigation into this incident is being handled by the Beaver Valley Regional Police Department, the Federal Railroad Administration, the NTSB, and the Norfolk Southern Railroad Police Department.
