(Pittsburgh, PA) United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced today that a resident of Pittsburgh, has been sentenced in federal court to a term of imprisonment of four years on his conviction of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing a machinegun.

Twenty-two-year-old Andrew Rocco was sentenced.

According to information presented to the Court, Rocco’s residence was searched on February 2nd, 2024, and police found three firearms, along with magazines and ammunition.

One of those firearms was equipped with a mechanism that is frequently referred to as a “switch” or auto-sear, which renders it capable of fully automatic firing.

That means that one of the firearms was a machinegun.

All three of the pistols were outfitted with loaded, extended magazines.

This is the third time that Rocco has been convicted or adjudicated delinquent for a gun-related crime.
