New Castle man cited after four vehicle crash in Lawrence County; two women injured

(Lawrence County, PA) Pennsylvania State Police in New Castle reported yesterday that sixty-nine-year-old Dennis Patterson of New Castle was cited after a four-vehicle crash occurred in Lawrence County on Tuesday.

According to police, Patterson was driving on US Highway 422 in Slippery Rock Township at 3:07 p.m. and he did not brake in time to avoid hitting traffic stopped at a steady red traffic signal.

He hit the vehicle of forty-three-year-old Frank Attisano, Jr. of New Castle, which subsequently hit two other vehicles.

Fifty-four-year-old Barbara Hupko of New Castle and forty-seven-year-old Regina King of Farrell were transported to UPMC Jameson Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
