Pennsylvania Fire Departments Receive $10,000 Grant Through the State Farm® Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program

(Washington, D.C.) Seven volunteer fire departments located in Pennsylvania were among 150 nationwide recipients of a grant through the State Farm ® Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program worth $10,000.

This program is in collaboration with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) and it assists local fire departments in purchasing needed equipment, enhancing responder safety as well as better protecting their communities.

The following volunteer fire departments will receive grants this year in Pennsylvania:

  • Goldsboro Fire Company (Etters)
  • Goodyear Hose Company No 1. Inc. (Galeton)
  • Horton Township Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. (Brockport)
  • Kulpmont Fire Department
  • Neptune Fire Co #1 (Richland)
  • New England Fire Company (Tamaqua)
  • Valley Township Fire Department (Danville)
