(Cetronia, PA) The administration of Governor Josh Shapiro recently invested $6 million in the 2026-2027 Pennsylvania state budget to assist Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies.  

This funding will help purchase the equipment and tools that they need to enhance the care that people in Pennsylvania receive when times of crisis occur. 

Governor Shapiro has invested over $79 million in EMS investment since he went into office. 

There are over 17,000 EMS professionals serving throughout the state of Pennsylvania, and these providers respond to calls totaling more than 2.3 million every year.
