(Aliquippa, PA) Officers with the Aliquippa Police Department conducted a traffic stop at approximately 12:50 a.m. today after they observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation following surveillance in the area of Linmar Terrace, which resulted in someone getting arrested.
Police identified forty-seven-year-old Stephen J. Ohler as a person who was occupying the vehicle during the investigation and a subsequent investigation resulted in the recovery from Ohler’s person of approximately more than 7 grams of suspected crack cocaine, additional empty plastic baggies that are commonly used for packaging controlled substances, as well as a digital scale which contained suspected crack cocaine residue, and assorted United States currency.
Those items were all consistent with the distribution of controlled substances based on the whole investigation.
Ohler faces a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of this investigation.
