Woman taken into custody after driving recklessly near Wawro’s Bar in Aliquippa

(Aliquippa, PA) Aliquippa Police officers conducted a traffic stop yesterday at approximately 12:53 a.m. after they observed a vehicle exit the parking lot of Wawro’s Bar on Franklin Avenue at a rate of speed that was high, pulling out in front of vehicles that had the right-of-way and driving recklessly.

Officers recovered a loaded revolver from inside the vehicle during the stop.  

Twenty-seven-year-old Shiona Qushar Gilbert was taken into custody after officers determined that she had active bench warrants and was in possession of a firearm despite the fact that she was legally prohibited from possessing one. 

Gilbert faces felony charges of persons not to possess a firearm and carrying a firearm without a license.

She was put in the Beaver County Jail.
