(New Brighton, PA) New Brighton Borough Council presented a Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs award to the family of the late Don Mittner to recognize his twenty years of dedicated service to his community at a council meeting on Thursday. Mayor Valerie McElvy also presented the family with a special Commonwealth citation from State Representative Roman Kozak to honor the lasting impact of Mittner. The spirit of service continued as more than twenty volunteers walked the town of New Brighton for the “coMITTment to Cleanup” event held in Mittner’s honor on Saturday.
