(Aliquippa, PA) Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Saturday in Aliquippa. 

According to a public information release, the Aliquippa Police Department requested assistance from state police after a shooting was reported in the 1000 block of Knoll Street at about 4 a.m. 

Investigators determined that a delivery driver was in the area making deliveries when an unknown person or persons fired shots at the vehicle. 

The driver reported that their vehicle had been struck by gunfire at least three times and described the suspect as a Black male wearing dark-colored clothing. The suspect escaped the area prior to police arrival. Officers conducted a search of the area for the suspect with negative results and located multiple shell casings at the scene during the investigation.  

No injuries were reported.
