(Harrisburg, PA) The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) announced today that it is lowering interest rates for its PA Forward undergraduate, graduate and parent loan programs.
The new fixed interest rates will range from 2.71% to 10.18% APR, depending on creditworthiness and loan type. The change applies to new applications submitted on or after today. (June 4th, 2026.)
PHEAA said the PA Forward loan program is a state-backed private student loan option that is serviced by the agency and supported through state economic development funding.
The program is available to Pennsylvania students and families seeking loans for higher education expenses.
