(Aliquippa, PA) Pennsylvania State Police in Beaver County are investigating a stabbing reported early Sunday in Aliquippa. 

Troopers were dispatched around 1 a.m. to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue for a report of a woman who had been stabbed. 

Police identified the victim as Shawnalynn Brandon, 21, of Aliquippa. She told investigators the stabbing occurred on Sheffield Avenue. 

Brandon was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. 

Police said the suspect is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
