(Industry, PA) The Beaver Borough Police have issued a recent news release in relation to an arson fire that destroyed honey bee hives. The hive owners are offering a $2,500 reward and Crime Solvers of Beaver County will match that reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the fire. Officers were contacted on December 27th, 2025 regarding extensive damage to beehives located at the former Rivers Edge Golf Course property in Industry. Officers confirmed that nearly all of the beehive boxes had been burned and destroyed upon inspection. The hives were owned by a local beekeeper who reported that all of his beehive boxes had been intentionally set on fire.
