(Aliquippa, PA) Water service is expected to be restored by this morning after multiple water main breaks left over 20,000 people impacted in Aliquippa. As of 11 p.m. last night, the Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa says three of the four breaks have now been repaired, with crews continuing work on the final break near the Route 51 exit ramp. Aliquippa Mayor Dwan Walker announced yesterday that the City of Aliquippa and the Aliquippa Water Authority have declared a State of Emergency due to three major water main breaks that are impacting them. This happened after the Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa announced yesterday a “significant water break” of a 16-inch transmission line on the exit ramp of Route 51.
