(Beaver County, PA) PennDOT is advising drivers to use caution while traveling as inclement weather that occurred on Friday brought down trees, wires, and other debris onto roadways. Drivers are urged to be patient as PennDOT crews, and the crews of their utility partners, work to clear impacted areas. Please stay alert for debris, changing roadway conditions, potential lane restrictions, and roads that are closed. PennDOT maintenance crews are monitoring roadways and they will respond accordingly as the conditions allow and as issues are addressed, the roadways will be reopened as soon as they are safe. Additional details will be provided if restrictions occur along the interstates and heavily traveled corridors. PennDOT is reminding drivers to:
- Reduce speed and remain alert for debris on the roadway.
- Avoid driving through areas where trees, limbs, or wires are down.
- Allow extra time for travel.
- Never approach or drive over downed utility lines.
