(New Castle, PA) PennDOT District 11 announced that lane restrictions on Route 18 (Mahoning Avenue, Moravia Street, South Jefferson Street, North Jefferson Street) in the City of New Castle will resume today, weather permitting. Crews from Lindy Paving will conduct the work which includes miscellaneous construction activities.
Lane restrictions will occur daily through late May in the following locations:
- Route 18 from Route 108 to Moravia Street from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
- Route 18 from Moravia Street to Boyles Avenue from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 6 A.M.
2026 work on this project worth $13.2 million includes asphalt patching, ADA curb ramp installation, concrete curb improvements, drainage upgrades, minor structure work, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction activities. That project is expected to conclude in late spring.
