(Tampa, FL) Pittsburgh Steelers special teams captain Miles Killebrew will reunite with his former special teams coach as the free agent safety and specialist signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers yesterday. Former Steelers special teams coach Danny Smith was hired by the Buccaneers for the same position in January. ESPN recently reported that Killebrew signed a one-year contract that is worth $1.8 million. Killebrew played in 151 career games over five seasons with the Steelers and five seasons with the Detroit Lions and he has 91 tackles on special teams, the second most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2016. Killebrew made the Pro Bowl in 2023 and 2024 with the Steelers and he also was selected to be first-team All-Pro in 2023.
