(Hollywood, CA) Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School graduate Ashley Marina got all three of the coaches on the NBC reality singing competition show “The Voice: Battle of Champions” to turn their chairs around as she sung in the blind auditions for the show last night as she made it onto the show. The eighteen-year-old barista from Pittsburgh performed an original song called “Tonight I Wanna Cry.” Marina had to choose between Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine, the season 1 winner of American Idol and singer Kelly Clarkson, or singer, John Legend, who is an EGOT winner. Marina picked Legend, who became an EGOT by winning the four major awards for performing arts in the United States, (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) to be her coach for this season of “The Voice,” which is filmed at Universal Studios in Hollywood, California.
