(Monaca, PA) The Community College of Beaver County recently let its community in Monaca know that it is currently under attack by actors that are utilizing an attack that is encryption-based on their data. The resources of CCBC needed to be locked down at this time, and the CCBC community should know that they should not turn on their laptops or other devices because they can and likely will be attacked by the software the hackers are using on campus. The school is working through a solution and thanked the community for its understanding of this situation.
