(Beaver Falls, PA) According to a release from Tenaris, they made an announcement today of the official closing of its acquisition of the Beaver Falls scrap processing yard in Pennsylvania, which has now transitioned to its subsidiary, Steel Recycling Services. The operations remain unchanged, while the acquisition strengthens the US steel manufacturing footprint from Tenaris. The approximately 39-acre yard which is located adjacent to Tenaris’ Koppel manufacturing facility enhances the coordination between scrap processing and steel production to provide direct access to high quality raw materials for its Koppel steel shop which produces liquid steel using an electric arc furnace (EAF).
