Senators Langerholc, Ward, and Stefano Announce Legislation to Reform Pharmacy Benefit Managers to Better Serve Pennsylvanians

(Harrisburg, PA) According to a release in Harrisburg from the Senate Republican Communications office, Senators Wayne LangerholcJr. (R-35), Pat Stefano (R-32) and Judy Ward (R-30) announced their intent on Friday to introduce legislation to substantially reform pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) to better serve Pennsylvania residents. PBMs are third-party companies which act as intermediaries in the prescription drug supply chain to manage drug benefits on behalf of health insurers, employers, government programs and others.
