(McKees Rocks, PA) More information is coming out about the incident in which a woman was shot in McKees Rocks on Saturday. A woman was shot in the 100 block of Jane Street that morning and detectives identified twenty-two-year-old Edward Sparrow as a suspect. Detectives determined Sparrow was involved in a crash on the 100 block of Langer Way in Kennedy Township around 8:17 p.m. on Saturday while investigating this shooting. A witness later told investigators that Sparrow jumped the guard rail on Langer Way after the crash even though the vehicle was unoccupied when officers responded to the crash. Investigators that searched the steep hillside close to the guardrail yesterday morning located a man matching Sparrow’s description dead. Detectives are now working with area fire departments to recover the body and the formal identification of the man who passed away will be made by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
