(Pittsburgh, PA) According to a release today from The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo and Pittsburgh districts are conducting a second five-year review of the selected remedy for the Shallow Land Disposal Area (SLDA) Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) site. The selected remedy that was identified in the Record of Decision, as amended, will involve the excavation, treatment, and off-site disposal of contaminated waste and soil. The purpose of this five-year review is to evaluate the effectiveness of this selected remedy.
