Aliquippa man found guilty of assaulting another man at an Aliquippa VFW bar in 2025

(Beaver County, PA) Brett Ours of Aliquippa has now been found guilty of several charges after being accused of assaulting Preston Coleman at the Aliquippa VFW 3577 bar on January 5th, 2025. According to information provided to KDKA-TV, Ours was on trial for charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, strangulation, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of instruments of crime and simple assault. Ours was found guilty on all of the charges except for attempted murder on Friday and the date of his sentencing has not been confirmed yet. Ours was accused of allegedly assaulting and strangling Coleman for about a half an hour at the bar located at 211 Penn Avenue as well as hitting him with a bar stool. Ronald Brown and Ireland Brown, both of Ambridge, are the other two suspects that were involved in the attack on ColemanBoth of them are expected to face trial at a later date for charges related to the assault of Coleman.
