(Wampum, PA) A landowner close to Wampum recently agreed to sell the approximate amount of seven acres to the North Country Trail Association this fall, which will help to secure protection that is permanent for a section of the North Country National Scenic Trail and its surrounding landscape located along the Beaver River. According to a release from the Wampum Chapter, it is the first property purchase in the history of the North Country Trail Association, a nonprofit partner of the National Park Service.
