(Allegheny County, PA) The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning yesterday about a scam that is ongoing targeting people who receive SNAP benefits. Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin Kraus confirms that the scammers are trying to steal these benefits and personal information. One of the scams is a text message that promises $1,000 if you click a link provided with it while others ask you for your PIN numbers or card numbers.
