Pennsylvania nurse attacked at UPMC Altoona hospital

(Altoona, PA) An emergency room nurse from a UPMC hospital in Pennsylvania was flown to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh over the weekend after police confirm he was violently attacked by a patient. According to a criminal complaint, forty-year-old Bradley Lloyd is facing numerous charges including aggravated assault, simple assault, and disorderly conduct after police said he attacked a hospital worker in the emergency room at UPMC Altoona hospital on Saturday. This happened just before 10 a.m. and the nurse, Travis Dunn, was unconscious and lying on the floor after Lloyd hit him in the head and the face. Police state Dunn had multiple injuries including a cracked skull, a brain bleed, and a broken tooth, among others. Lloyd surrendered to police after a taser was aimed at him. Court records show Lloyd is in the Blair County Prison and he was wanted out of Missouri on a probation violation. November 12th, 2025 is when a preliminary hearing will be for Lloyd.
