(Pittsburgh, PA) A scholarship has recently begun named after the former Bishop of the Diocese of Pittsburgh and Economy native David Zubik. The Bishop David A Zubik: Church Alive! Scholarship, which was established and founded through clergy and parishoners through their gifts, has now started to assist students that go to Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh that are excited about their faith to display it in ways that are exemplary. Clergy and parishoners established and founded this scholarship through their gifts. Zubik had his final Mass as a bishop on July 10th, 2025 during a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Paul Cathedral in Oakland.
