(Center Township, PA) A Spirit Halloween store has opened in the Walmart plaza off Route 18 in Center Township on Saturday, August 16th, 2025. It is in the former location of the McKinney’s Furniture and Mattress Direct in that same plaza in Center Township to sell items like Halloween decorations and pop-up retail Halloween costumes. In 2024, a Spirit Halloween store was behind the Beaver Valley Mall in the spot where the Planet Fitness store there used to be located. A Spirit Halloween store was inside the Beaver Valley Mall in 2023. According to USAToday, Spirit Halloween opened its first pop-up store in 1983 and was purchased by Spencer Gifts in 1999. in 2024, more that 1,500 seasonal locations of Spirit Halloween opened across the United States. Customers can buy items online on www.spirithalloween.com throughout the year while the Spirit Halloween stores are only seasonal.
